Fine Art Inspired By The Southwest
My favorite place to be is outdoors, immersed in nature. I am inspired by simple things like the vibrant bloom on a prickly cactus, a maple leaf in the fall, a mint green lichen clinging to a rock, and the iridescent sheen of the sun on a feather. I thoroughly enjoy countless hours observing birds and other wildlife, and often carry home pretty pebbles, feathers, bones, skulls, and other treasures that I find on long nature walks. I have spent the majority of my life living in the Southwestern United States and have a deep love and fascination for the plants and animals in that region, so it is only natural that these are the subjects I most often choose to portray in my art.

Come see this amazing colored pencil show in Baytown, Texas. My two pieces below are on display til August 16th. You can meet the artists at the awards reception on August 16th.
